Social Program
The Opening Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, August 29th, 2012 and will kick start the 42nd EABCT Congress in Geneva. Further opportunities to share time with friends and to network with colleagues will be the International Party (Thursday 30th August), the Congress Dinner (Friday 31st August) as well as throughout the congress.

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the three Swiss associations of cognitive behavioural thera- py, we are pleased and honoured to invite you to the 42nd Annual EABCT Meeting, which will be held in Geneva from 29th August to 1st September 2012.
The theme of the Congress is “Psychotherapy and Neuroscience: Evidence and Challenges for CBT”. We are hoping for stimulating discussions on the integration of clinical and research perspectives in the field of psychotherapy, as well as on the fascinating issue of the relationship be- tween mind and brain. The Congress will also emphasise the most recent developments in cognitive behavioural therapy. On both counts, it will therefore be a rendez-vous not to be missed, for therapists involved in the treat- ment of mental illness as well as for researchers in the field of neuroscience and psychotherapy.
Some of the world’s leading experts in these areas have already confirmed their attendance. We would like to thank them warmly in advance for their contribution to the quality of the 2012 Congress.
We would also encourage you to participate in the scientific programme by submitting abstracts for oral contributions or posters. We are providing a full social programme for you to enjoy, including tours of the city of Geneva and its beautiful surroundings and visits to some of the most important interna- tional institutions in the world.
